Congratulations to Maitland PHL Men who are minor premiers for the first time in the 30 year history of the club. Following a great 7-2 victory over Wests at home on Sunday, Maitland are clearly the best team in the 2010 Newcastle/Central Coast Premier League.
This is a great effort by the team under the stewardship of coach Nathan Baker. Bakes has taken the side to a new level this season and the availability of turf in Maitland for training and home games has also been instrumental in getting the team to a minor premiership. Bakes also pays tribute to team manager Glen Meehan whose great management skills are the real reason the team has done so well.
Maitland’s 6th Grade men are also minor premiers while 2nd and 4th grades have earned a place in the semi finals. It looks like all semi finals will be home games at Maitland on Sunday. Please come along and support all teams on the day.
